Job Description
Our machine shop is a leading manufacturing company that produces high precision components for the aerospace and medical device industries. We are looking for a skilled 5 Axis CNC Programmer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop CNC programs for the manufacturing of complex parts on 5-axis machining centers
- Work with 3D CAD models to generate toolpaths using CAM software like Solidworks and Catia
- Select tools and determine machining parameters based on the material and part geometry
- Prepare CNC code in ISO and G-code languages to control machine tools and ensure efficient production
- Monitor machines during the first runs to ensure programs are running properly
Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in mechanical engineering technology or related field
- 3-5 years of experience programming 5-axis CNC milling machines
- Proficiency in Mastercam, Solidworks, Catia, and 5-axis mill programming
- Strong math and technical skills with an ability to solve complex problems
- Knowledge of machine tooling, machining parameters, and precision measurement tools
