We have an immediate opening for an Accounts Receivable Specialist in the Livermore, CA area. This role should last around 60 days or longer.
• Manage and maintain accounts receivable ledgers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Process incoming payments and allocate them to the appropriate customer accounts
• Generate and send invoices to customers in a timely manner
• Follow up on overdue accounts and initiate collection procedures when necessary
• Reconcile accounts receivable balances with general ledger accounts
• Investigate and resolve customer queries regarding invoices or payments
• Prepare and analyze accounts receivable reports for management
• Utilize client payment portals
• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing discrepancies
• Maintain customer files and records with up-to-date information
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency
• Assist with special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as needed
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Participate in the implementation and maintenance of accounts receivable software systems
• 2 year associates degree
• 2-4 years of experience in accounts receivable or similar role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle)
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Customer service-oriented with the ability to handle difficult conversations professionally
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Adaptability to changing priorities and workload fluctuations
