Lab Technician 1

We have an immediate need for three Lab Technician- 1 positions in the Manteca area. 

Lab Technicians operate a variety of tools and computer systems in order to perform the functions, testing, and projects that are assigned throughout the work day. They will also perform daily assessments, analytical analysis, and investigations to ensure good work quality, relating to the quality of the wines and other finished products. The technician must also be able to effectively communicate effectively within the company, with packaging and ingredient suppliers, vendors, and bottlers. as well as their customers.

This is a temporary (three month), full-time position with the opportunity to become a permanent full-time position within the company. The hours are Monday to Friday, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Job requirements:

• Be able to participate and follow all safety programs within the company. Also be able to deliver safety trainings as well as recognize and report all safety hazards.
• Operate various laboratory instruments and equipment while performing analysis of select processes  
• Complete quality assessments and process audits
• Be able to input and evaluate data by utilizing computers in order to manage processes such as Microsoft office and AS400
• Assist associates in order to maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Being able to troubleshoot issues with different types of laboratory equipment
• Maintain and monitor lab equipment and instrumentation

Qualifications to include:

• Associate degree in Biology, Chemistry, Food Science, Quality Assurance, or a related field, or 2 years experience in the alcohol/food industry
• Ability to work with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Be able to work outdoors as well as indoors
