We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as a City Landscaper in St. Helena, California. This position offers a competitive pay rate of $25.50 per hour and a consistent schedule of Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and beautify public parks, gardens, medians, and other outdoor areas within the city.
- Perform a variety of landscaping tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, planting, watering, fertilizing, and mulching.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and irrigation systems.
- Identify and address issues related to plant health, pest control, and irrigation efficiency.
- Assist in the design and installation of new landscaping projects as needed.
- Collaborate with city officials, supervisors, and other team members to prioritize tasks and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance preferred.
- Knowledge of plant species, horticultural techniques, and landscaping best practices.
- Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely and effectively.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform outdoor labor-intensive work in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.
