Service Manager for Heavy Equipment Rental Yard

We are looking for a Service Manager For Heavy Equipment Rental Yard to join our team! You will be responsible for managing a team that will be repairing various vehicles and transmission systems.

Responsibilities:

* Oversee team that handles repairs for construction equipment and diesel trucks
* Utilize dealer management system for work order processing to create work orders (CDK/PFW Intellidealer).
* Oversee the team that handles routine equipment maintenance
* Perform quality inspections prior to returning the vehicle to the customer
* Background in heavy compact equipment and large construction equipment preferred.
* Discretion in handling confidential, proprietary, and financial information.
* Ability to work independently as well as in collaboration with others in a positive and professional manner.
* Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) for direct communication with co-workers, customers, manufacturers’ representatives.

Qualifications:

* Ability to plan and organize work, meeting schedules and timelines
* Ability to maintain records and prepare reports.
* Ability to travel as is required with overnight stays.
* Previous experience as a mechanic
* Knowledge of shop equipment
* Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
* Deadline and detail-oriented
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
