• Set up and operate Swiss-style CNC lathes to produce precision parts
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders
• Program, adjust, and optimize Swiss screw machines for maximum efficiency
• Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on Swiss screw machines
• Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications
• Use precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet tolerances
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures
• Collaborate with team members to improve production processes
• Document production data and maintain accurate records
• Train and mentor junior machinists as needed
• Suggest improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste
• Adapt to new technologies and machining techniques as they emerge
• Minimum of 3 years of experience operating Swiss-style CNC lathes
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
• Strong knowledge of G-code programming for Swiss screw machines
• Experience with CAM software for Swiss machining
• Familiarity with various materials including metals, plastics, and composites
• Expertise in using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations for machining operations
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• Flexibility to work different shifts as needed
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification preferred
• Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
